Frame is free, with no account and nothing to sign in to. If something is not working, here is the quickest way through.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and find Frame. Pick a size and place it. To choose which album it shows, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget.

My widget is not changing photos

Check Settings inside Frame: “Change photo every” sets how often a widget moves on, and the shortest interval iOS allows is five minutes. Widgets rotate on their own with the app closed, but iOS decides exactly when to redraw them, so a change can land a little after the interval. If a widget has been stuck for much longer than its interval, open Frame and tap “Update widgets now” in Settings, and let us know.

Can each widget show a different album?

Yes. Every widget you place picks its own album. Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, then choose a folder and an album. Tapping a widget opens the album it is showing.

Is there a limit on albums or photos?

No. There is no cap on the number of albums, the number of folders, or the number of photos in an album. There is no paid tier, so nothing is gated.

Where are my photos stored?

On your device. Frame keeps a resized copy in its own storage so your widgets keep working even if you later delete the original from your library. There is no account, no sign-in and no network code, so your photos are never uploaded anywhere.

I added the same photo twice

Open Settings and tap the duplicates row. Frame spots a photo added twice both by the item you picked from your library and by the image itself, and can clear the extra copies while keeping the first.

How do I delete a photo, album or folder?

Touch and hold any album or folder for a menu with Move to folder, Rename and Delete. Inside an album, tap to select photos, then use the toolbar to remove them.
